Adventure has just been recently been opened again, after it was being redone for renovations. While many things have stayed the same, many things have changed.


Due to the changes in Adventure the old thread (http://www.petadopta...dventure-guide/) done by Allie is no longer relevant.

To help everyone with the new changes, I will be putting together a new guide having to do with the new feature. Be warned that this might take me some time, since there are so many new changes.

Adventure Store and Inventory

One of the new things about Adventure is that there is an Adventure Store. To get to the Adventure Store go to Adventure and scroll down.

The Adventure Store has many items that will help you while you are Adventuring.

In the future, the store items may expand or change in price. The items can be used to scare off predators that may have eggs or items (still figuring this out).



In addition, you will now have an inventory for any items that you may find while Adventuring.

You will notice that there is item that I have circled in red. That is an item that if you happen to come across and retrieve it, it will end up in your inventory. The other four items are from the Adventure Shop.




So far the following items have been found.

In addition, you can also find many different creatures (there have been many others added now).

Also, you may find other items that will be added to your account.

Areas You Can Explore and Energy Level

Currently at the moment, there is only one area that you can explore: Forest but in the future, other special areas will be open.

For instance, last Halloween there was an event that involved Adventure. In the future, there might be another similar event.

Updated: There is a new area called the Desert with many new creatures.

Once you choose the area that you want to explore in, you can click explore. I will explain about exploring below.

Energy Level

Energy is extremely important on PA. Many exciting features are used with energy: mines, fishing, gym, wish wells, and now adventure. It's important to have a solid energy level and to keep on rising it. All users start off with a max of 10, but it can rise with the gym and wishing wells. You can also gain more energy (different than raising energy level) through mines, wishing wells, and adventure.

There are many ways to increase your energy cap. One way it through the gym, which to start using it, you have to spend 200 zc and then it just costs energy to continue using it. An important reminder is that do not overwork because they can cause your max energy level to reduce. To keep your max energy, it will tell you how many work outs you must do each day.

The other way is by going to the wishing well. You might notice that there are many different types of wishing wells. One of these wells allows you to gain more energy and sometimes allows you gain a higher max energy level though it is rare.

In addition, to just raising your energy level, you can also replenish energy from mines, wishing wells, and adventure.

How To Explore

Exploring can be a complicating and complex situation since there are so many options. Once you get the hang of it, it will be easy, exciting, and fun.


Let's first start with the different scenarios. There are multiple different scenarios that can occur, which is one reason why it is fun.


1. You get nothing from exploring or an interesting event takes place.





2. You come across an item/egg.

Or

3. You run into a predator with an item or egg.


While exploring, you may come across multiple different predators. Some items (from the Adventure Store mainly) are more effective than other items. The current predators found are:

The most effective way to combat these creatures is through items. Every single creature has some sort of weakness to one of the items which will be more affective than the other item.

Coyotes:

Loud Horn

Bears:

Pepper Spray

Red Foxes:

Loud Horn

In addition, there are other choices that you may choose:

Shouting - Doesn't usually work

Throw a rock - Does minimal damage

Dive - Does an ok amount of damage

Flee - You just run away, so nothing happens

In addition, every predator will have a different hit points, which will determine how strong the creature is. Sometimes, a few dives might due the trick, while other times it can take multiple rounds to successfully grab an item/egg.

Also, there are different scenarios that could occur when you attack a predator.

1. You hit the predator and it will get damaged (direct hit).






2. You hit a super direct hit and more damage than usual is inflicted. This is a rare circumstance.




3. Your attack misses.



4. Your attack has no effect. Usually shouting causes this.

Common Questions

Will it be easy to get an egg or predator?

No, it will not be easy, because if it was easy there would be no fun in adventure -- its supposed to be challenging, and at times will be frustrating. When you get frustrated, just take a break and do something else and then go back.

I lost more energy, than I'm supposed to lose. Is it a glitch?

No, it's not a glitch. Make sure to always read the description what happens to you in adventure, you might have gotten injured.

Why is my energy different on adventure than on my side bar energy tab?

Adventure is runned through another program that doesn't refresh the page, causing your side bars energy to stay the same, but you will still be losing energy. Pay attention to the description and it will tell you how much energy you can use.

With the diving, when I clicked dive once, I got the egg straight away, even though the predator had hit points...
So you can get the egg from diving straight away sometimes, right?

Yes, sometimes you can It's mostly just luck if you manage to get an egg due to diving. Congrats on getting the egg!

What are keys for? Recently I have been ignoring them, but I had gotten one off a fox, and don't know what to do now.

You need them to open the chests you can find in the mine and also in the Click Exchange.
You can find them under Explore > Chests and Keys

Ohh! I see now! I don't have a mine, but I use the CE all the time!

You have to check the pages in the CE as you have to click on "keep" to get the chest.
Keys can also be found in the CE btw. Same, you have to click "keep" to get it.

Nope, you have to look for the key on each page - it will be near the text on the page so just keep a look out
