Trade Bug?

trade help bug

I've been having trouble with the trading process.
I keep getting the same error message when I try to start a trade with my boyfriend's account.
My username is: Tsime, his is Juudovii.
We are using three separate computers. He has a PC desktop, and I have a PC desktop as well as a Mac laptop.
I have tried starting the trade from both of my computers, only to get the same error message.

Error Message:
"It appears you have tried to trade with yourself, or with a close friend, which is not allowed. Please do not let this happen again or your account will be disabled. This event has been logged and sent to the administrator."


But... he's not myself.
I have some eggs that I bought / obtained specifically because they're his favourite animals... and I can't give them to him. I really don't want to get frozen either.
I'm thinking that maybe the site is reading that we have the same external IP, since we do live together (Since it says "close friend"). Maybe?
Help?

i think I know why. he is in your house, right? or is he using the same connection? if that is, then it's not a bug

Nods with rainy. If you use the same IP address as someone you can't trade with them.

Question,
But I've traded with a friend once when she was over and she was using the laptop, and I was using the computer. We had the same IP address then, so why did it work? :/

(This was a while ago though, maybe about July-ish last year...?)

It might have been a glitch or the system was being updated at that point.
