Red Foxes are best known for their cunning and intelligence. They can be found in many different areas, including deserts, forests, and mountains, across the entire globe. Adapting quickly, Red Foxes can even learn to live near human dwellings. Red Foxes are classified as omnivores, eating anything from smaller animals to plants, and may occasionally forage through human trash cans. As hinted by its name, the Red Fox boasts a beautiful fur coat that varies in colors such as gold, black, silver, brown, and of course, red. They use their tails for balance and communication, and also use them as extra cover in undesirable weather.

These magnificent animals are sometimes deliberately killed, for some people view them as unwanted pests or as dangerously diseased animals. Even worse, Red Foxes are sometimes killed for sport. At the moment, the population of Red Foxes is not considered threatened, but we still must remain aware of their possible plight, and try to refrain from harming our animal neighbors.
