Animal Facts

The Pegasi of Olympus are majestic stallions/mares that can fly amazing distances in a short period of time, sometimes causing a booming sound as they streak by. Legend has it they were created by the demi-gods as a sole means of transportation. Most of them live on top Mount Olympus where it is cold so their light skin blends in with the snow. People have dismissed them as mountain goats for millennia. The pegasi live in family units within deep caves in the mountain where the inner heat from underground hot springs keeps them warm all year around. They are only out around sunrise or sunset since their wings blend right in. Rumor has it there are groves and fields on the mountains just for them to graze in, although the highest peaks are covered year-round with snow.
