In times of death, when many souls were coming to heaven, in times of wars, when many souls with unfinished jobs started to wander on Earth, angels came down to Earth. Their job was to make sure souls wouldn’t wander around and posses humans. A soul who possesses a human becomes an evil spirit and is unable to enter Heaven even with the help of angels. Once, in times of a huge war spreading on Earth an angel entered a town that reeked of death. Being so small and full of elderly, it couldn’t stand a chance against bandits who killed every last person. Most of the souls already left.

Suddenly, she saw something move in a Cage on the other side of the road. When she came closer, she saw that there were 6 little wolf pups in it. Their mother was killed and they were taken as hunting dogs. They were squirming and yelping, asking for help. They were dying from malnutrition. They never got much food and now they have been without food or water for weeks. They would die soon. The angel had pity for such strong beings dying when they haven’t experienced love, happiness or a feeling of belonging somewhere. Then she noticed that the wolves’ souls were uncommonly strong souls. She asked the little wolves if they wanted to be her family. The wolves, looking at the mysterious person in front of them agreed. They wanted to belong somewhere. Suddenly a strong light enveloped them and they felt a power they have never before.

The angel told them they have been reborn as spirits that assist angels. They were going to help her collect souls of the dead. The 6 little wolves all got their own names and powers:

Hono- a wolf with red fur was good with rebellious and hard-headed souls and could control the element of fire,
Aoi- a wolf with sky-blue fur and was good with strong willed souls and controlled water,
Kuma- a wolf with gray fur that takes care of mean and short/tempered souls and controlled the darkness,
Shi- a wolf with cheetah-like fur and is good with pranksters and controlled air,
Kuro- a wolf that had dark black fur was good with silent souls cold to others and controlled darkness,
Hikari- a wolf with white fur was good with shy, timid souls and controlled light.

From then on, they collected souls from all over the planet and took care of us humans. After time they became strong spirits who had their own will and became gods own spirits. It is said that if you see one, your life will be long and blissful, because they will protect you from evil. Even now they wander on Earth in search of lost souls to show them the way to Heaven.
