Animal FactsOn the 24rd of October in the year 1306, a female wolf was hidden in her den deep in the wilderness which was protected by not only her Alpha male, but the rest of the pack, as well. The only one allowed inside the den was the nursing elder whom helped this mother through her time of need of birthing her pups. Late at night, sometime near 11:32 pm, she finally gave birth; laboring for a good 20 hours before the pups were born. This was unusual for the wolves to endure this long in order to give birth. However, they were all in for a surprise. Instead of a litter of six pups, she only had one. This cub had a coat of white with strange crimson markings on it, but it also had a coat of black with gold-like markings. What worried them the most is the mutation of having two heads and two tails. They feared that the cub wouldn’t survive the night, least of all a week or fortnight. The Alpha male, the father, wanted to abandon the abomination of nature mostly because he did not expect it to survive very long and it would have caused more of a hassle for him and the rest of the pack. However, the mother would not allow such an act to occur. She raised the cub like she would any other average pup, weaning it through its young vital stages of life; doing all that she could in order to make sure it survived. The pup not only grew in strength and size over the next six weeks, but it grew at a rapid pace. By 6 months old, it finally stopped growing, remaining in a young stage for the rest of its life. She was given the name Miska for she showed the strength of many while containing her youthful playful nature. She felt like an outsider from those in her pack though because of her uniqueness. While others learned valuable things, she was kept away from the rest of them. When she got involved, she normally screwed things up and became clumsy; she soon was forced to leave the educational group. She spent most of her time learning on her own and when given patience and time, she exceeded even some of the best. She hunted alone, bringing back piles of meat which helped them greatly in the winter months. She could go a long while without rest or sleep; she not only knew the communication between wolves, but other animals as well; she respected this greatly and knew her role in life. A year would soon pass and Miska was out wandering on her own for several days. It was not like her to be away from her homelands for so long, but curiosity got the best of her and she wanted to explore the world outside of what she already knew. There were different animals but not so much like the ones she knew back home; there were also different smells and sights and sounds. She came across a few unfriendly creatures and other wolves but she didn’t dare let their sniggering, stares, nor rude comments to drift her away from her adventure. Another sunset, another sunrise would pass before she came across a trail of blood. She followed it and found a wounded stag, but this stag was unlike any other she had seen before. It wasn’t frightened of her and its coat was as white as snow with antlers bigger than what she’s ever seen on regular stags. The beast was absolutely magnificent. "It’s rude to stare, child." The creature rasped. This made Miska to jump back in surprise. She understood him but it was not in any tongue or language she was familiar with. She whined softly, "Sorry, I just never saw a stag like you before." She looked dumbfounded for a moment before shaking her head, "You’re hurt!" The stag tucked his hooves beneath him and peered at the two-headed wolf for a long moment, "Yes and I will soon pass on, but first I have been in search for you and feared I would not make it." She noticed how he didn't mention how he got hurt but none-the-less, she nodded and sat down to listen, feeling sad for the beast. She listened carefully to the long story he told her. "You are the Mother and the Hunter, Miska, born of this world into this form. Your path will be long and there will be hard times for you, but you must never forget your role in life; you must never give up nor stray from your destiny..." the stag whizzed and soon went unconscious. She remained there and guided him on to be reunited with his ancestors. Miska would never forget the story of the Mother nor the Hunter and from there she left, seeking out her destiny in this life of hers...
