They took to the skies with grace, much like predators on wings. These great feline birds are magnificent and strong, a rather proud race known as the Atrdon. They were around the time when the great Pharaohs ruled over Egypt. They were worshiped as Gods, better known as the Sphinx. Though it was claimed that these feline birds sometimes appeared to have a human face, the myths are poorly mistaken. The coloration of the Atrdon is a very wide range, some even having the pattern of very well known birds such as the Eagle. They are intelligent and more than capable of speech though keeping to their own language since they don't dwell in the affair of humans unless absolutely necessary. Some, however, are companions to those most worthy and chosen. Their existence and how they came to be as they were are unknown, which is why the Egyptians believed these creatures were vessels carrying the Gods.
