Animal Facts
The Mystical Timekeeper originated from one single hare, a all
earth-brown decked in white tipped ears, tail and paws. Legend has it
that this particular specimen had the ability to know what was going
to happen at the exact time, and could keep track of it for very long
periods of time, carving out lines with its front paws. One day, the
young creature froliced in a small meadow, content and playful, when a
hunter shot the poor hare to use it as a stuffed creature for his
young, sickly child. At first, the child wouldn't accept it
because he thought it was a very mundane, boring, drab, plain doll and
wasn't interested in it at all. The hunter, now detirmined to keep
his son happy, hired a tailor to sew him a dapper top hat and a
matching suit. The child still wasn't happy with the stuffed
creature, even with its additional attire. So the hunter had no choice
but to purchase a monocle, glasses and a small winged hourglass with a
chain and put them on the bunny, putting the chain strait into the
stuffing's chest. The child was finally content with the stuffed
specimen, adored by its apparel. However, at the strike of midnight,
the rabbit opened its eyes again, now with a pale blue-gray hue,
shocked that it was still alive.
The Timekeeper would do all sorts of things, but its main job was to
count the days until the boy would finally pass away,
scratching with its right forepaw a straight line as the
day died away. It was not long before the child finally fell to his
uncurable disease. The father died not too long after that and the
house was neglected from human care. At last the rabbit was free as it
hopped out of the window, now with the content and playful mood it
once had. It then went off to travel to several lands, breeding with
other normal rabbits and having many litters. Most of them turned out
to be like itself, with a brown hue and the pale blue-gray eyes, and
even its suit and acessories were passed on to its offspring. However,
usually there will be alternates to its hue, usually in reverse of the
normal brown, bright orange, pale gray, a bright cream-yellow, and the
rarest of them all, a pure black kit with white tipped ears. These odd
mutations of the original hare have varying personalites.
Mystical Timekeepers are very outgoing towards humans, often laying
down when they meet one so that it can gentle pet its soft fur. They
do not run as fast as most rabbit species due to all the attire they
wear, but this does not bother them. The Mystical Timekeeper's
diet mainly consists of plants and some vegetables fresh from the
garden, altrough like other rabbits, they will be killed if they eat
cabbage plants. They have a keen sense of sight, thanks to their
glasses. Their hearing is equal to any rabbit breed. They are usually
five to seven inches long, their height eleven inches. Their lifespans
range from just a couple of years to over two hundred years. It is
said that the Mystical Timekeepers can bend time itself as long as
they are careful. Owning one of these creatures is said to add more
years to one's life, have good health, prosperity, healing of
wounds and even a heightened sense of dapperness.
