Animal Facts

If the cat is refined by nature, this glamorous and loving breed is the most distinguished. Some people affirm that the cats in the Egyptians' paintings or sculptures look like Siamese cats because of their beauty, grace, and body proportion, but it's still unsure.

On the other hand, the Siamese is one of the oldest breeds of domestic cats known to man. They originated in Siam (now known as Thailand), Asia; the place where they got their name.

Siamese cats, with their long, slender figure and thin hair coat, are mostly recognized by the kind of color and marks they have. Their main fur color can be light (really pale grey), tan (soft brown, or milk chocolate-like) or cream-like. Spots are usually around the snout, ear-tips, paw-ends, tail and some all the way through the top of the head until the far end of the back.

They are light and very nimble like other cats. But they aren't just recognized for being incredibly beautiful and classy; Siamese are highly intelligent and very affectionate. Yes, most people think cats are unfriendly and obnoxious, but these social felines are nowhere near that. They are very attached to people and, at some point, possessive.

They love being taken care of, and are the perfect pet for someone who likes to spend a lot of time and energy in them. Vigorous and self-proclaimed human-like, these demanding cats are super intelligent and are easily trained.
