These adorable creatures, called Mini Lop Rabbits, are much smaller than regular rabbits and have the characteristic floppy ears of lop-eared rabbits. They have a muscular build with short legs, and only grow to about 6 pounds in size. Mini Lop Rabbits come in many different colors such as black and white, solid colors such as brown, white, or black, and many other variations of these.

Mini Lop Rabbits originate from a German breed of lop rabbits called the Kleine Widder and a chinchilla breed of rabbits. These small rabbits were finally accepted as an American breed in 1980. They are well known for being huggable, adorable, and playful, a favorite of children for this reason, and are very even tempered. They are a very popular breed in pet stores because of their adorable look and kind nature. Intelligent, trainable, and affectionate, these lop-eared rabbits make superb companions for anyone.
