The Pembroke Welsh Corgi is a long, athletic breed of dog that stands very low to the ground. What differentiates them from other Corgi breeds is that the Pembroke Welsh Corgi has either a very short tail or no tail at all. They often have an intelligent or interested expression that is helped by their fox-like ears. Their medium-length, coarse coat varies from colors like black and tan to red with white markings. These Corgi dogs can grow to be 30 pounds and can live up to 15 years of age.

Originally used as hunting dogs in Wales, this dog is the favorite of the British royalty. These small dogs are highly intelligent and loyal to their owners, and are considered helpful working dogs. Pembroke Welsh Corgis are extremely active and friendly and love to go on long walks to get their energy out. These are affectionate dogs that will follow their owner's every whim as long as they are unconditionally loved.
